New Study Reveals APKs From Third-Party Stores Have Malware In Them

Android-Pixabay

A new study has found out that the third-party store apps make use of unconventional compression techniques to embed malware into Android applications. These are done in such a tricky manner that even the antivirus programs are not able to get a hold of it.

This is so because the antivirus software and cybersecurity researchers are presently not able to decompile the APK files, hence the threat actors are very secretive injecting malware into these APK files – which are bypassing security very easily.

The best of the Android phones have always been able to download apps unofficially from third party stores. Though useful in some cases, it still poses a threat for the Android devices. According to various reports, there are about three thousand applications which make use of this compression method for linking malware to the applications.

If you are a person who does not have the habit of sideloading applications, then you are going to face no problem at all.
