How Google may have a 'Shorts problem' on YouTube

In the era of Video content, YouTube and other platforms have been growing well from the past few years.

In a recent survey, Google recently announced that

“more than 2 billion people logged in to YouTube are watching YouTube shorts. This number has increased shortly from 1.5 billion in youtube shoes from 2022.”

An increase in the number of YouTube shorts gives a core competition to its competitors like TikTok, Instagram reels etc.

According to the reports from Financial Times,  shorts may ruin the long-form video business of the Google-owned video streaming platforms.

Recently in a YouTube strategy meeting, YouTube has recognized that the long form generates more revenue than the short videos.

They also stated that in the upcoming times the long form video which provides more revenue is “dying out” which may result in big losses for the company.
